OVERVIEW & PURPOSE 

The Development Coordinator is a key member of our fundraising team, responsible for supporting and executing various development activities to advance the mission of Fosterful. This role includes managing donor relations, organizing fundraising events, and crafting grant applications and reports. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children experiencing foster care.  Priority will be given to applicants who apply before August 30, 2024.


BENEFITS

This is a full time position at $54,000 - $58,000 annual salary, located in Vancouver, WA. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events. Work is to be mainly done in an office environment with potential for remote flexibility.


A benefits package, parking and phone stipend will be included.

  • Phone stipend of $50, reimbursed monthly
  • Health benefit reimbursement package of up to $450 per month 
  • PTO accrued at 10 hours per month
  • Sick leave accrues in accordance with Washington State law- one hour per every 40 hours worked

RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Donor Relations:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of donor engagement strategies.
  • Acknowledge and thank donors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database.

2. Fundraising Events:

  • Assist with logistics coordination for fundraising events, including venue selection, catering, guest lists and run-of-show.
  • Manage event marketing and promotion, including social media and print materials.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, ensuring a high level of donor satisfaction.

3. Grant Writing and Management:

  • Manage the research and identification of potential grant opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
  • Track and report on grant deadlines and deliverables.

4. Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and manage marketing materials, including monthly newsletters and special appeals.
  • Assist in budget preparation and tracking for development activities.
  • Support the Executive Director with special projects and tasks as needed.

5. Data Management:

  • Maintain and update the donor database with accurate information.
  • Generate reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

6. Marketing: 

  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Manage social media platforms and engage with followers.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop content for digital marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and update company website using Sanity.
  • Assist in public relations efforts and relationship management with stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or development.
  • Proven grant writing abilities.
  • Experience with donor management systems (e.g. Givebutter) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc), Monday.com, and Canva.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor cultivation.
