Development Specialist

The Choice, is seeking a Development Specialist for our client, a national public health nonprofit. This organization provides healthcare screening services, preventative education, and treatment financial assistance programs; they are consistently rated a top nonprofit to work for in the United States.

We are eager to connect with candidates with nonprofit development support experience. This is an immediate hiring need. This is a temporary to hire position and our client works a hybrid schedule (1-4x per month).

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of professional experience in nonprofit development/fundraising support role
• Previous experience using Raiser's Edge or another similar fundraising CRM
• Familiar with mail merge
• Able to commute to Rockville MD, a few times a month

Job Duties will include:

• Complete accurate data entry using Raiser’s Edge software in accordance with internal gift recording structure
• Maintain integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database while adhering to internal standards for data entry and hygiene as it relates to constituent data
• Identify and resolve gaps in data hygiene, immediately alerting supervisor to any issues for resolution
• Proactively respond to and resolve issues with constituent requests via telephone, mail correspondence, and email
• Ensure that all donation tax receipts for gifts received in-house are produced in accordance with internal time frame, utilizing mail merge processes
• Process daily imports from lockbox vendor and third-party peer-to-peer fundraising platforms via the Omatic software platform
• Ensure up to date data while consistently meeting standards and deadlines for report generation
• Follow IT and Constituent Relations policies and procedures for the use and maintenance of electronic and paper files
• Recommend adjustments and process improvements
• Maintain supplies for Constituent Data team, including coordination of donor gifts and premiums

Salary information:

Temporary Salary:$28/h

Perm Salary: $60k-65k
