Here’s how we do it:
MediaJustice is seeking a part-time, temporary Senior Development Associate to support the development strategy and implementation to raise the resources needed for MJ during a period of growth for the team and organization. This role will support Development at 30 hours per week, with benefits, for at least nine months. This position may become full-time based on organizational need and mutual fit, gauged after the nine-month window.
The Senior Development Associate’s primary function will be to provide day-to-day administrative support for institutional and major donor fundraising activities and drive effective and consistent donor communications. This position reports to the Development Director, and is a member of a growing team, including Grant Writers and a forthcoming Sr. Development Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have experience performing critical functions in a development department where they support activities such as CRM management, dashboard, and report preparation, donor stewardship, donor communications, maintaining financial records, and supporting grant proposal development and submission. This role is ideal for someone who understands the connection between data, systems, communications, relationship-building, and resourcing movement work.

MediaJustice practices a negotiation-free compensation policy and has set salaries based on the employee's level in the organization and years of experience. Salaries are benchmarked to be in the top 25% for the three most expensive U.S. cities. The salary level for this role will be that of a Senior Associate pro-rated based on 75%FTE - 30 hours per week, to an available salary range of $54,532.50 - $59,191.50, depending on the experience tier the candidate falls into.
