Job Description and Details 

The Lead Product Manager will own Climate 2025’s product roadmap, finding ways to better support the movements we work with by streamlining back-office processes and centralising our services in an easy-to-use web app. The better our products are for users, the more time our movements have to focus on key issues in climate and society.

This role reports directly to the Executive Director and sits alongside our Fiscal Hosting team, connecting the team with external development and design help. It presents an exciting opportunity to combine the subject matter expertise of our Finance, Client Services, Fundraising, Recruitment and Consulting staff with the needs of our customers to create new technical products.

Over the course of 12-24 months, this role would define, prioritise and manage the expansion of our client-facing and internal tech products to streamline the back-office operations we offer at Climate 2025. This includes:

  • Executing product discovery and user interviews to uncover opportunities with employees and clients
  • Mapping workflows and user journeys to communicate these opportunities
  • Writing development and design briefs for new products and features
  • Onboarding and managing an external design and development team
  • Measuring and analysing the success of new products and features

Required skills:

  • Project management skills typically resulting from 5+ years of experience
  • Track record of uncovering, scoping, prioritising and deploying product features that meet users needs
  • Confidence managing external developers and/or designers
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset and appreciation for data analytics and data visualisation
  • Competence in either Excel or in a programming language such as Python
  • Interest in tech and user experience, and a eye for making processes simpler and more accessible
  • The ideal candidate has experience of grassroots activism though this is not required
