The Yiddish Book Center’s Wexler Oral History Project seeks an experienced and committed full-time Video Editor and Oral History Archive Manager to provide on-site technical support for the ongoing processing of the Wexler Oral History Project’s rapidly expanding digital collection of one- to two-hour in-depth oral history interviews about Yiddish language and culture.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The position requires working at a desk and using a computer for prolonged periods of time. The position also requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching. Work will usually be performed in an office environment and museum spaces.
The Yiddish Book Center is a nonprofit organization working to recover, preserve, teach, and celebrate Yiddish literature and culture to advance a fuller understanding of Jewish history and identity. The Center engages diverse, worldwide audiences, generating enthusiasm, knowledge, and commitment to the history and future of Yiddish and Jewish culture. The Yiddish Book Center’s Wexler Oral History Project is an expanding collection of in-depth video oral history interviews about Yiddish language and culture. Since 2010, over 1,300 interviews have been recorded with people of all ages and backgrounds.
