Description

The Development Operations Coordinator will work

closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Communications and team to ensure

that the fundraising goals are achieved to meet revenue goals required to fund

the work of Judi’s House and JAG Institute. The Development Operations Coordinator

will coordinate and administer specialized development functions, such as

managing databases, reporting financial data, and assist in developing mailing

lists. The position is primarily responsible for the daily management of the

constituent database and integrity of the data import/export, providing reports

from constituent data, and management of gift entry and acknowledgements. The Development

Operations Coordinator will create, develop, and oversee all data management

processes and systems that roll up into Judi’s House’s moves management system. 

 



REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Skilled at remaining flexible and prioritizing tasks to complete projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience managing databases, queries, imports, exports, and mail mergers. Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM experience is strongly preferred.

· Understanding of the basic principles of fundraising and moves management preferred.

· Ability to take initiative, set goals and work independently.

· Extremely organized with impeccable accuracy and attention to detail and ability to complete tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

· Experience leveraging reports to inform next steps and strategy is a plus.

· Effective and clear communication skills, both verbally and in written form.

· Proficient computing, filing, and organizational skills.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 software.

· Unwavering ability to maintain strict confidentiality concerning all professional matters, especially donor communications and private information.

· Working knowledge of nonprofit accounting rules governing donation recognition is a plus.

· Experience reporting and forecasting revenue.

· Able to work a flexible schedule that sometimes includes weekends, evenings and holidays. Some remote work allowable in this position.


EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

· Bachelor’s degree or two years of experience in a related field. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter donations and pledges into database. Produce all gift acknowledgments including receipts, thank you letters and pledge forms.
  • Manage and perform routine database hygiene and maintenance.
  • Lead data quality, data extraction, and analytics efforts.
  • Conceive, implement, and manage processes that prioritize the effective use of data in support of the development team’s fundraising goals, including database management, gift processing, reporting and dashboards, document management, and financial processing and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and present reports to internal teams.
  • Implement tracking systems to manage and refine donor portfolios throughout the fiscal year, adhering to all business practices for reporting information in Raiser’s Edge donor database.
  • Generate reports of gifts and pledges for use by internal and external committees.
  • Liaise with the finance department to reconcile gift deposits and support regular financial projections and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Judi’s House staff where needed to advance the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Attend team and organizational meetings, activities, and events as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are

representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform

the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job,

the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk as well

as bend, squat, and climb stairs.  The employee must occasionally

lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
