Position Overview:
The Seedleaf Office and Community Specialist (SOCS) role will act as connective tissue for Seedleaf staff and support the daily functioning of the organization. The candidate in this role will also utilize Seedleaf metrics to communicate with and cultivate supporters and donors of the organization. Time in this role is split between organizational support and supporter/donor cultivation. Under organizational support, the SOCS will support the Executive Director by managing Seedleaf products, bill payments, organizational purchases, receipts, and all other tasks related to general office bookkeeping with the software QuickBooks Online and website management. The specialist will also oversee general office duties such as ordering supplies and filing paperwork. Importantly, the SOCS will work closely with our CPA firm, The Livesay Group, to supply necessary information regarding basic tax and financial forms/statements.
Secondly, the SOCS will use data collected from Seedleaf programming and events to communicate with the public. The SOCS will draft emails and other forms of correspondence addressed to Seedleaf garden users, supporters, donors and potential donors. This includes communication with Perennial Club Members, and Seedleaf News subscribers, as well as individual donors. Most of this work will require familiarity with Seedleaf's current donor software system Bloomerang.
At select times of the year, Seedleaf hosts fundraisers to gather funds for programs. The Specialist will create invites and communications for diverse segments of donors and assist with event planning and decoration.

This position is full time employment with a 2 month probationary period. The salary range is (35-38,000) and will be determined at the time of employment.
