Title: Marketing & Communications Manager
Salary Range: $68,000-80,000
About the Position
The Marketing and Communications Manager partners closely with internal stakeholders and MarCom team members to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive traffic to our retail stores, increase revenue and deliver on broader brand objectives. This role is responsible for engaging with a variety of audiences including shoppers, material donors, financial supporters, and students via owned and paid marketing channels.

* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to develop marketing and communications strategies that support our organizational objectives and enhance our brand reputation.
* Campaign Execution: Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve desired outcomes.
* Content Creation: Collaborate with in-house team of designers and copywriters, as well as external vendors to conceptualize and develop engaging content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, email newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to solicit input, develop marketing plans, facilitate reviews and report on results.
* Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of marketing projects, including seasonal retail sales, events, email/SMS marketing campaigns, store openings and other campaigns.
* Data & Performance Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
* Brand Management: Uphold and reinforce the organization's brand guidelines and standards across all marketing and communication materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with our mission and values.
* Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
* Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including program managers, and other members of the MarCom team to align marketing efforts with programmatic goals and ensure a cohesive brand experience.
* Commitment to Mission: Demonstrate commitment to advancing Evergreen Goodwill’s mission and values in brand communications and interactions with staff and community partners.
* Promote a safety culture by enforcing safe work practices and reporting potential hazards or accidents.
* Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in roles related to marketing, communications, project management and event or campaign production.
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing and communications. Marketing experience with a retail focus is preferred.
* Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
* Experience working with diverse groups and nonprofits with multiple community stakeholders.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns, from conception to implementation and evaluation.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within deadlines and budget constraints.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor messages for different target audiences.
* Proficiency in digital marketing channels and tools, including social media platforms, email marketing platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
* Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to marketing challenges.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge of branding principles and the ability to maintain brand consistency across diverse marketing materials.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
* Project Management Certification preferred, but not required.
Computer/Technology Skills:
* Working knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
* Experience with Wrike project management software preferred
* Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
Physical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required sit for long periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing, required to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds and to operate computer systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
