About the NASRC:

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) is a 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit working to advance climate-friendly natural refrigerants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by traditional hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants. HFCs are super-polluting greenhouse gases commonly used in supermarket refrigeration and are one of the most potent drivers of climate change. Natural refrigerants are the most climate-friendly solution, but a unique set of market barriers have prevented their widespread adoption in U.S. supermarkets. NASRC collaborates with stakeholders from across the industry, including over 55,000 food retail locations, to accelerate the adoption of natural refrigerants in supermarkets and advance one of the leading climate solutions. Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including but not limited to:

• Corporate requirements, such aa federal and state tax filings, third-party financial audit, organization insurance, corporate policies, and Board governance requirements
• Human resource requirements
• Grant compliance and other contracts with key partners
• Information technology (IT) and security measures

Manage organization finances and accounting, including but not limited to:

• Bookkeeping and budget management
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Support for financial planning
• Process staff expense reports and reimbursements
• State and federal tax payments
• Coordination with accounting firm partner

Provide human resources support for NASRC team, including but not limited to:

• Process payroll on a biweekly basis
• Manage employee benefits
• Manage annual performance reviews and merit increases
• Provide oversight and support for 1099 contractors
• Maintain an exceptional company culture and maximize staff satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree
• 3-5 years of relevant experience with operations management (nonprofit experience preferred but not required)
• Demonstrated experience tracking and ensuring legal compliance
• Demonstrated experience tracking and managing organization finances
• Demonstrated experience leading human resource management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and Quickbooks
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain exceptional organization in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding accountability and self-management skills
• Passion for sustainability and motivation to contribute to a meaningful mission
• Previous remote work experience preferred but not required
