Fundraising Consultant for Democracy & Social Justice

Cain & Company is a startup consulting collaborative specializing in securing philanthropic grants and impact investment for NGOs devoted to defending democracy and defeating the alt right.

We are seeking associates to join our team. We will help you secure new clients and you will lead the scope of work for your portfolio, supported by your colleagues for administration, expertise, prospect research and grant writing. For an experienced fundraiser with an entrepreneurial spirit, there is excellent potential for this position to grow into a partnership role.

Job duties

Building a client base; strategizing with clients on their grants fundraising; conducting prospect research; framing client programs to meet funder interests; writing and submitting cover letters, concept notes and full proposals; tracking activity in grants database; maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years working in nonprofit fundraising and leadership
• Global perspective and international experience
• Deep background in social justice
• Private equity fundraising experience especially useful
• Multilingual applicants strongly encouraged

Compensation is based on a generous percentage of client contracts. Impact investment projects are compensated on a hybrid retainer/success fee basis.
