Girl Scouts Nation's Capital is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations and Administrative Specialist to support our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a key part in our financial operations. An Exciting Opportunity

As the Financial Operations and Administrative Specialist, you will be a crucial member of our team, supporting the CFO in a variety of ways. This role requires someone with attention to detail, financial acumen, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. If you have experience as an executive administrative support person, particularly in a financial setting, this could be the perfect fit for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Pilot of a New Girl Scout Troop Banking Partner: Serve as a point of contact, provide customer support, and develop training materials.
  • Annual Financial Statement Audit: Assist the Finance department during audits.
  • Grant Reporting: Collaborate with the Development department to support grant reporting.
  • Camp Account Management: Oversee funding, account management, and reporting for staff- and volunteer-led camps.
  • Project Management: Provide project management for departments reporting to the CFO, including Finance, Product Program, Retail, Business Operations, and Property.
  • Governance Support: Assist in preparing materials for Board and Committee meetings, including PowerPoint slides.
  • Calendar Management: Manage the CFO's calendar and prepare materials for meetings.
  • Insurance Claims: Assist with filing property insurance claims.
  • Travel Arrangements: Handle travel and itinerary arrangements as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.


Is This You?

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of executive-level administrative experience, including project management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and sound judgment.
  • Relationship Management: Superior professional relationship management skills.
  • Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data platforms.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to maintain a 9-5 or 8-4 work schedule with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Transportation Access: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within our Council regions by car.
  • Preferred: Girl Scout experience is a plus.
