Location: Middle Tennessee

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Salary Range: $30 - $35 / hour plus bonus (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

ShareBuilt is seeking a dynamic and motivated Advancement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be a significant face of the organization in the community, responsible for growing individual giving, emphasizing Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) gifts, and developing a consistent corporate support base, particularly within the construction industry, design firms, and suppliers. Grant writing will also be a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Donor Relations:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow individual giving, with a focus on QCD gifts.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities and donor prospects.

Corporate Support:

  • Develop a consistent corporate support base from the business community, with a particular focus on construction industry design firms, construction firms, and suppliers.
  • Engage with corporate partners to secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support.

Grant Writing:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with ShareBuilt’s mission and goals.
  • Write and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations.

Community Engagement:

  • Serve as a significant face of ShareBuilt in the community, representing the organization at events, meetings, and other public forums.
  • Develop and implement community engagement initiatives to raise awareness of ShareBuilt’s mission and projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders.

Communication:

  • Lead and execute (with support of our marketing team) external communication strategies, including press releases, newsletters, social media content, and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure consistent and effective messaging that aligns with ShareBuilt’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public relations, sales, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, or a related role.
  • Excellent external written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience in grant writing and securing funding from various sources.
  • Passion for ShareBuilt’s mission and alignment with the organization’s values.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive and passionate individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a significant impact in the community
  • Reside in the Middle Tennessee area (strongly preferred but not required).
