Bat Conservation International (BCI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending bat extinctions worldwide, is seeking a Senior (Sr.) Marketing and Communications Director to join BCI’s Team. BCI is a distributed organization with staff across the United States. The Sr. Marketing and Communications Director can live anywhere and will work remotely.
The Sr. Marketing and Communications Director will join a dynamic organization and a highly progressive team of conservation and communications professionals and will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer, who is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Sr. Marketing and Communications Director will manage the Marketing and Communications team and design and implement effective marketing and communications strategies that build brand awareness and drive membership, revenue, and action. The Sr. Marketing and Communications Director must be highly collaborative and enjoy working within a mission- and results-driven environment where they will contribute to positive ecological and social change. This position is ideal for an individual committed to conservation with interest and experience in communications and marketing for a global organization.
Position Description:
The Sr. Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all BCI’s marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. They will direct the efforts of the marketing and communications staff and coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of BCI; connect marketing activity to organizational and fundraising goals; and oversee major marketing campaigns. This is a leader/doer role, with the Sr. Marketing and Communications Director maintaining their own portfolio of work while also leading the team. Most notably, the person in this role will:
