Description


The purpose of this Pooled Trust Program

Director in Accounting and Finance is to provide for the collective management and distribution of the

Trust Assets on behalf of eligible beneficiaries who are disabled. Primary

functions of this position are

to oversee the Master Trust(s) held by The Arc New Mexico on behalf of

clients and/or beneficiaries: including discretionary authority;

assisting clients with financial

support to safeguard the individual’s assets to maintain their benefits to

improve their quality of life, while conforming to all regulations, policies,

and compliance functions required by law. The Pooled Trust Program Director

shall lead the outreach and education to the community and organizations on

the needs of individuals with disabilities. The goal is to assist the client

and/or beneficiary and family to feel confident with the financial security

of their trust. 


 


Performance Measures: 

A successful Pooled Trust Program

Director will produce positive outcomes in the

following areas:  maintain objectivity

while exercising discretionary authority; ensure money spent will enhance the

life of the client/beneficiary; stay up-to-date on all federal, state, and

local laws regarding SSI, Medicaid, Investment and Property trust management;

able

to lead community outreach and education advocacy.

 Minimum qualifcations:

Bachelor’s degree required with minimum of 3-5 years of financial and operations experience. 

Preferred:

Legal and trust financial experience.
